How it Works

You can order an at home saliva test or register for an in pharmacy test. Follow the steps below to get the testing you need.

Step 1

Select which test you would like to get (at home or in pharmacy) and complete the pre-screening questions to see if you qualify for COVID-19 testing.

Step 2

Select which location you would like to get tested at or purchase the at home kit and then complete the online registration and health review on the AZOVA app/website.

Step 3

You must show or print your QR code for in pharmacy testing. You will receive instructions to register your test kit online. Note: This is required in order to be tested.

Step 4

If you ordered an at home test, we will ship your kit to you. Follow the instructions inside your kit and send the kit back to the lab. We will send your results to you online 48 to 72 hours after the lab receives your test kit.

Step 5

Symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19)

Symptoms of COVID-19 range from mild to very severe. The following symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure:

More severe cases

The following symptoms are more common in severe cases of COVID-19:

How is COVID-19 treated?

There is currently no cure for COVID-19 so treatment revolves around managing symptoms. For most people symptoms can be managed at home with rest, fluids and over-the-counter medications. What is the recovery time for COVID-19?

According to the World Health Organization, the recovery time for mild COVID-19 cases is about 2 weeks while severe or critical cases can last anywhere between 3 and 6 weeks.

How many test kits can I purchase?

Please complete the assessment for each person who needs to be tested. You can order a test for yourself and your family members as needed. You will be required to complete a registration for each person and must also register the test kit for each person being tested.

Should I Get Tested for COVID-19?

You should get tested for COVID-19 if you develop COVID-19 symptoms such as fever or chills, cough and shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing. You should also be tested if you have been exposed to an active infection or if needed for your profession. How do I get a COVID-19 test kit?

To obtain a COVID-19 test kit, you must complete the online pre-screening to assess your risk and eligibility. You will be able to receive an at home test kit or register for an in pharmacy test. You will receive your at home kit within a few days. Follow the instructions to provide a sample and send the kit back to the lab.

How does the test work? What does it measure?

The test determines whether you have been infected by testing for the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in your saliva. It does this by detecting unique genetic markers that are specific to the virus. This is not an antibody test and only detects whether you are currently infected.

Is this test different from tests available at hospitals and doctor’s offices?

Most of the tests currently available use a nasopharyngeal swab. This test uses a simple saliva sample to test for COVID-19.

How much does a COVID-19 test cost?

The test costs $149 – 168 out-of-pocket but you may be eligible to special discounts from your employer, school or other healthcare organization with an eligibility code that is issued by your organization.

How long does it take to get a test?

Test kits are shipped with high priority USPS®shipping. If you place your order by 11AM MST, your test kit is shipped the same day. You should receive the test kit within 1-3 days.

How do I register my test kit?

You must register your kit at https://register.azova.com before you ship your kit back to the lab or before your pharmacist or testing provider sends the kit to the lab. You can only register your kit after you have purchased it.

How do I collect my saliva sample?

Follow the instructions provided with the kit to collect a saliva sample.

How quickly will I receive my COVID-19 test results and how do I get them?

Once you send your kit back to the lab (return priority shipping is included), you can expect your results within 48-72 hours from the time the lab receives the kit. You will receive an email and/or SMS with a link to securely access and share your results.

Are these test kits covered by insurance?

Our testing is covered by many employers, schools and other organizations through an eligibility code. If you have received an eligibility code for COVID testing, please enter it during registration and any discounts will be applied. Otherwise, all testing is cash based. You can use most HSA and FSA cards. We do not submit claims to insurance, but you can submit a claim on your own if you would like. You will receive a receipt for your purchase in your email.

Where can I get tested for COVID-19?

You can get tested at select pharmacies in the United States or you can get a test kit sent to you in any state.

Why does this test cost money?

We are currently pricing the tests as low as possible in order to cover our costs. As money is disbursed from the federal government, the cost of the test may be covered in the future.
