At Home Antigen Test kits or In Person COVID testing for Dominican Republic Travelers

STEP 1
Order your at-home test kit and take it with you on your trip or find a testing site near where you will be staying in Dominican Republic and schedule your testing appointment at a testing location or request a concierge to come to you. PCR testing and rapid antigen testing are available in most locations. Both are acceptable for return flights to the United States though PCR testing is more accurate. Antigen testing is $47 for the at home kit and includes video observation services. Antigen testing in Dominican Republic starts at $47 USD + tax or $89 + tax for concierge services. Rapid PCR testing is $95 USD + tax or $145 + tax for concierge services.

STEP 2
If you purchased the at home kit, schedule a video observation for each person who is taking a test and take the test under video observation no more than 72 hours before your return flight to the US. For in-country testing, schedule an appointment for each person who needs a test. Make your appointment in time to meet the testing requirements for your destination. See the recommended timelines below. If returning to the United States, all travelers 2 and older must have a negative COVID test result from a test taken within 3 calendar days prior to departure.

STEP 3
For in-country testing, you will receive a QR Code confirmation email. Print or show this QR code at your testing location to provide proof of payment. If you don’t have access to your QR code, our testing partners in Dominican Republic can look up your reservation by name.

STEP 4
You will be tested and will receive a digital copy of your test results via a secure link in the AZOVA app. Results for the at home test kit are available in 15 to 30 minutes. Results for the in-country rapid antigen test are available in 3 hours or less. Results for rapid PCR are available within 24 to 72 hours. We recommend you schedule PCR tests 3 calendar days before your flight to the US. You will also receive your free COVID Credentials travel passport so you can share your results with anyone you like.

STEP 5
Complete any travel authorization forms as required for travel to your destination and provide it to the airline before you board your flight.

About the new COVID testing requirements from the CDC for travelers returning to the United States.

• All travelers age 2 and older who are traveling to or connecting through the United States via airplane must present proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 3 days before departure and must sign an attestation of a negative test result.
• You will not be allowed to board your flight without completing the attestation.
• Approved tests include a United States FDA Emergency Use Authorized self administered at home antigen or NAAT test taken under video observation with a manufacturer-approved observation and identity verification service, or an antigen or PCR test (NAAT) that is approved by the local health jurisdiction. At home kits that are not approved by the FDA are not accepted.
• For connecting flights, your COVID test must be taken within 3 days before your initial departure.
• If you have recovered from COVID-19 and you have a positive test result that was taken within the last 90 days (but no less than 14 days) before travel, you can present this test result along with a letter from your healthcare provider documenting that you have recovered from COVID-19 and are cleared to travel.

Yes. Payment is collected at the time of booking. You can pay with any major credit card. AZOVA will be listed as the merchant of record on your credit card statement.

The transaction is in US dollars. Because the service is delivered in the local market, there is a VAT tax for the local jurisdiction.

If you use a US based credit card, there will be no foreign transaction fee. If you are using an international credit card to purchase your test, there may be a foreign transaction fee depending on the country of origin of your credit card.

If you cancel your trip and do not need to be tested, you must log into your account and cancel your appointment before the scheduled time in order to receive a full refund. Missed appointments or no-shows will not be refunded.
