Dr. Cherrington was raised in Ogden, Utah where he graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish literature. He graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and subsequently finished a three year Family Practice Residency in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Cherrington is also Board Certified in hospice and palliative medicine. Dr. Cherrington is the Medical Director for a nationally based hospice company and serves as the Chief of Staff at Timpanogos Regional Hospital. Dr. Cherrington has a particular interest in women’s and children’s health, treatment of depression, snoring and sleep apnea. He manages contraception in women and men, including vasectomy using the no-scalpel approach in a very short in-office procedure. Along with a full practice in Family Medicine, he aggressively manages diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity. Helping you make the best use of your health care dollar is very important to Dr. Cherrington, and to that end generic medications are used whenever possible. He follows an initiative called Choosing Wisely that guides multi-disciplinary doctors and patients to the most effective and economical ways to diagnose and treat diseases. Dr. Cherrington also specializes in treating addiction to pain medications with a multi-disciplinary approach and the use of a medication called Suboxone. Dr. Cherrington is married and has seven children.

Dr. Brockbank grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah.  He graduated from BYU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology and then attended the George Washington University Medical School in Washington D.C.  He completed his Family Medicine Residency at Ft. Benning, Georgia.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1998 to 2009 and has lived with his family in Kansas, Texas, and Colorado.  During that time, he served two combat tours in Iraq as a Battalion and Brigade Surgeon.  He now calls Pleasant Grove home where he lives with his wonderful wife and five children. Dr. Brockbank is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP).  He enjoys all aspects of family medicine, especially pediatric, adolescent and adult medicine.  He also loves spending time with his family, traveling, sports, sculpturing, and the outdoors.

Dr. Mike Curtis was born in California and grew up in the Salt Lake area. After graduating from BYU with a zoology degree, he moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he attended the Medical College of Wisconsin, graduating in 2002. He then joined the Army and did his Family Practice Residency at Ft. Gordon, Georgia. He was stationed in Louisiana for a time before being deployed to Baghdad, Iraq where he served for one year as Battalion Surgeon to the 3-67 Armor Tank Battalion. Dr. Curtis moved to Utah in June 2007 and began working at Tri City Medical. Dr. Curtis is Board Certified in Family Medicine. He has a special interest in hypertension and related issues. He also loves pediatrics and caring for children. He does a full range of pediatric and adult medicine. Dr. Curtis loves living in Utah and enjoys hiking and other recreational opportunities that the surrounding area has to offer. He enjoys sports, music, and spending time with his wife and children. His faith plays an important part of his life and he enjoys being active in his church.

Dr. Michael Kennedy obtained his medical degree at Michigan State Universityand completed his residency at MidMichigan Regional Medical Center in Midland, Michigan.  Dr. Kennedy’s professional interests include preventive medicine, adolescent medicine, and medical/legal issues.  He is a member of the AAFP-Fellow and Utah Academy of Family Physicians.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and walking.  He welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.

Dr. Smith grew up in Pleasant Grove, Utah, and graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Biology. He graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and did his medical residency in Family Medicine in Hawaii. Dr. Smith enjoys all areas of Family Practice, especially pediatrics, gastrointestinal disorders and dematologic procedures. He specializes in a shot free allergy program.

Dr. Smith is married and has four beautiful children. He enjoys outdoor activities, especially competitive waterskiing. He is fluent in Spanish.

While studying pre-medicine & behavior science at the University of Utah, Regan was unsure of the techniques of modern western medicine and thought there were must be a better way for patients to reach their full potential and well-being. He first learned of the benefits of Chinese medicine while taking a History of Medicine course. After much research, he went to see the medicine in action and began studying with acupuncturist Tao Tan in Sandy, Utah. After seeing the incredible benefits of traditional Chinese medicine and studying with Tao Tan, Regan decided to invest his time in learning eastern medicine. Regan attended the Traditional Chinese Medical College of Hawaii and in 2004 earned his Master of Science in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine. He also spent three years apprenticing with world renowned acupuncturist and founder of the Traditional Japanese Acupuncture Association, Dr. Chieko Maekawa PhD, DAc. In 2004 he also became the first person in the United States to be certified in Seitai Shinpo, which focuses on structural techniques of acupuncture. Currently Regan is one of only 23 individuals to have this certification. He is also a speaker for David Singer Enterprises and coaches acupuncturists on how to build successful practices. Regan is one of the founders of the Seitai Shinpo Acupucture Foundation. He is also affiliated with the Foundation for Wellness professionals where he voluntarily holds lectures and seminars in order to educate the community on health and well-being. In his approach to healthcare, he focuses on restoring harmony to the body and helping patients heal themselves.

Regan spends his free time with his daughter Zoe and his son Jonah who love joining him in the outdoors snowboarding, hiking and mountain biking. He also enjoys yoga and capoeira, and helping people reach their full potential and well-being.

Dr. John Lawrence is Board Certified in Family Practice Medicine and Urgent Care Medicine, with over 13 years of experience as a physician and medical director. He received his medical degree from the University of Utah and has expertise in providing joint and trigger point injections. In 2008, Dr. Lawrence was the expedition physician on a high altitude climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro with world paralympian champion Chris Waddell, and was responsible for the care of the expedition team, which included the treatment of tropical and infectious disease, trauma and altitude sickness.

Dr. Carmel Ferreira is a Naturopathic Physician and Licensed Acupuncturist. Dr. Ferreira’s love for the sciences led her to receive her Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She worked as a research associate in Cardiology and Hematology Medical Research at various reputable institutions while preparing herself for medical school. Her desire to practice Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) increased while working as a research associate. After searching for a medical school that would allow her to follow her passion she found the specialty of naturopathic medicine and left her career in medical research after enrolling. In order to compliment her studies in conventional medicine and CAM she then sought to acquire a strong foundation in eastern medicine, leading her to also pursue an education in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Her search to become a holistic practitioner led her to simultaneously attend naturopathic medical school at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) and her Masters at the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture (PIHMA) in Arizona. Dr. Ferreira simultaneously earned her professional Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine at SCNM and her Master of Science in Acupuncture at PIHMA.

Dr. Ferreira has always felt the need to be involved with her community and for this reason has volunteered at various clinics and hospitals in California, Arizona and Utah since 1996. Her life-long passion and dedication to the health care field continues to drive her desire to inform the public of available resources as well as empower individuals to take charge of their own health.

During her down time Dr Ferreira enjoys being outdoors; hiking, trail running, snowboarding and practicing the art of fire poi---these are a few of the activities she loves. Her greatest passion has been in the kitchen, creating nutritious dense foods that are packed with flavor. She also enjoys practicing spiritual meditation and is an active member in her church and congregation where she also volunteers in various affiliated activities.

Dr. Trish Henrie-Barrus is an Assistant Professor at the University of Utah where she has helped create the nationally recognized Positive Psychology Certificate Program. As a published author and researcher, Dr. Barrus presents at conferences and seminars across the country. She is also the President and Founder of InteraSolutions, a psychological assessment company and is a practicing clinician with specialty areas in addiction, women’s issues, and family and marital problems. As a positive psychologist and counselor, she believes that in order to help others we need to believe in and not belittle, help and not hinder, build up and not tear down. Traditional Psychology has focused on what’s wrong and sickness instead of finding solutions, wellness, and focusing on strengths. She believes that to live life to the fullest, individuals need to see themselves in a more positive light; and in order to affect lasting change, we all need to be real with ourselves and have the desire to be different. She teaches her patients and students how to REALLY change their lives by understanding what stage of change they are in and the skills needed to get to the “action stage” where the real work is done.

Dr. Barrus is a regular presenter on Utah’s KSL Studio 5 in the area of psychological health. In addition to her business accomplishments, she serves as the chair of the Provider Training and Patient Education committee for the Utah Pharmaceutical Drug Community Project (UPDCP) and is on Utah County’s Smart Policy Task Force. In this role she is actively working to combat the prescription drug abuse problem in this country. She and her husband, Lee, are the parents of 10 children and 17 grandchildren.

Karen R Stolman, MD is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon with expertise in general dermatology as well as cosmetic laser surgery. She enjoys helping her patient’s feel and look their best with the latest technology in the field of aesthetic medicine.

Prior to beginning medical school, Dr. Stolman studied Biology at Tufts University and Fine Art at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts. She received her Medical Doctor degree with Honors from New York University School of Medicine in 1997. She has Board Certified in Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery since 2001. Dr. Stolman practiced for over ten years as a member of the Physician Division at Intermountain Healthcare, at the Altaview Specialty Clinic in Sandy, Utah. From 2013 to 2015, she received specialty cosmetic training while practicing at the Gateway Aesthetic Institute and Laser Center in Salt Lake City. Dr. Stolman currently serves on the Faculty in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Utah, and practices General and Cosmetic Dermatology and Surgery at the South Jordan Health Center as well as Alpine Dermatology and Laser Center in Utah. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the Intermountain Dermatology Society, the Pacific Dermatologic Association, and the Utah Society of Dermatology.

Dr. Stolman has been sought after by media, and fellow physicians on skin care advice. She has made numerous appearances on Utah’s KUTV “Ask the Doctor,” “ Fresh Living," and her expertise has been quoted numerous times in both local and national newspapers, periodicals, and online blogs. She is the author of the first online skin cream ingredients dictionary www.skincreamguide.com, and the author of www.skinality.com.

Dr. Heidi Heras is Board Certified in Otolaryngology. She received her Medical Degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine. Dr. Heras opened her private practice in October 1999 after she completed her surgical internship and Otolaryngology Residency at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. Dr. Heras graduated Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, a distinction given to the top 10% of the graduating class in medical school and was a chief resident her last year of residency.

Dr. Heras has been married for 23 years and is a loving mother of four children. She enjoys learning and researching nutrition and how to improve people’s health by living healthier lives through diet and being active. Dr. Heras also enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her family in her free time.

Dr. Heras is affiliated with American Fork Hospital, Riverwoods Surgical Center, South Towne Surgery Center and Central Utah Surgical Center.

Michelle is a native of Oregon and currently lives in Utah with her husband and son. She loves music, dancing, bright colors, the outdoors, eating tropical fruit, reading self-help books, and delves deeply into her spiritual journey. You can find her daydreaming of traveling the world and having an epic garden. She’s passionate about humanitarian work, and helping others feel their best so they can do what they are meant to do with their lives.

Dr. Eberting graduated Cum Laude from Brigham Young University and graduated with honors from the University of Utah School of Medicine. She did her internship at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her Dermatology residency was at the Boston University affiliate, Roger Williams Medical Center, in Providence, Rhode Island.

Dr. Eberting also did a clinical research fellowship in the Dermatology Branch of the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health in BBethesda, Maryland, where she cared for those who had some of the most severe cases of eczema in the world.

Dr. Eberting is a Board Certified Dermatologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is also a fellow of National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health.

Prior to setting up her practice in Alpine, Utah, Dr. Eberting practiced dermatology for two years in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Eberting grew up in the Seattle, Washington area and comes from a large family. She spent a lot of time in Asia and served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Fukuoka, Japan.

Dr. Eberting funded her medical school education by tirelessly running an import company called Nature's Handmade Paper, that she started at the age of twenty three. Dr. Eberting sold this company in 2004 to focus on the practice of dermatology. Dr. Eberting is fluent in Japanese and speaks some Spanish and Chinese. She enjoys spending time with her husband and four children.

Carolyn Sironen is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who moved to Utah from her native city of Saint Petersburg, Florida. Carolyn practiced dermatology for eight years in Florida before she joined Alpine Dermatology and Laser. She has extensive experience in the evaluation of the skin and the surgical removal of skin cancers, cysts and other surgical problems as well as using multiple modalities for the successful treatment of acne. She also particularly enjoys helping her patients age gracefully with the skilled use of cosmetic procedures including lasers, Botox and fillers.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Florida in 1988 and worked as a certified pediatric nurse for thirteen years. In 2001, while working full time, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree, focusing on Family Practice from the University of Tampa.

Carolyn lives in Draper with her husband and her two Cavalier King Charles spaniels. She has run over 15 marathons, including the Boston. Watch for her on the trails. Whether by foot or fat tire, she’ll be there when she’s not at Alpine Dermatology tending every patient with great care.

Chris Cox, PharmD, is a pharmacist at and owner of Smith Rexall Drug located in Pleasant Grove. His specialty, expertise, and passion is creating customized medicine for each patient's unique needs. A compounding pharmacist for over 10 years, Chris provides unconventional, effective treatment options, ranging from chronic sinus infections to infected toe nails and every problem in-between. He has years of experience as a hormone replacement specialist, treating women as well as men who experience hormone replacement disregulation. He has a passion for functional and integrative medicine and enjoys face-to-face consultations with patients to reduce adverse drug interactions, assess therapeutic goals, and find cost-saving alternatives.

Dr. Thorpe is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Thorpe attended St. Louis University School of Medicine followed by a residency with University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dr. Thorpe has been practicing since 1998 and he is the father of one daughter. He enjoys golfing, music and spending time with family.

Dr. Bean is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Bean graduated from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences and did his residency with Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He also served in the United States Air Force. Dr. Bean has been practicing since 2001 and has been with Valley OB since 2008. He is a father of two sons and four daughters. He is fluent in Swedish and he enjoys golfing, skiing, scouting and music.

Dr. Broberg is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He graduated from Wake Forest University School of Medicine followed by his residency program at the David Grant Medical Center at Travis AFB, California. Dr. Broberg has been in practice since 2002 and he enjoys boating, skiing and traveling with his family. He is a father of four sons and two daughters.

Dr. Vacharothone was born and raised in Thailand. At the age of 13 he moved to the United States to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming an American doctor, an idea instilled in him by his parents at a very young age. He attended medical school at the University of South Alabama, completed his residency at the University of Utah and was Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1997. With years of Urgent Care practice under his belt, he followed his strong entrepreneurial spirit and started After Hours Medical. His first office was in Draper, Utah and some of his first staff members are still with him today.

Dr. Vacharothone was an early pioneer in capitated “membership” medicine. In 2010 he started a medical membership program giving members access to his clinics for as little as $1 day. That program is vibrant today with over 5,000 capitated members, and has set the standard for membership medicine throughout the country.

In 2013, he released his first publication, “The Demise of Our Healthcare – We Can Prevent It”, outlining the current healthcare crisis, its root causes, and the steps required of each of us to reverse the situation. This book has gained praise among his peers and is currently available on Amazon.com.

Dr. Vacharothone continues to serve his patients, develops key relationships in the healthcare community and plans to expand his clinic network and membership medicine model throughout the country. When he is not working on his practice he can be found with his beautiful family, traveling the country and often spending time in Thailand.

Keri Kasun PharmD FCP, NFPPhC, is a dual trained Fertility Care Practitioner and Naprotechnology Pharmacist Consultant. She received her formal training at Pope Paul Institute in Omaha, Nebraska.
