AZOVA will send the results within 30 minutes or less (for all negative results). If an analyte is non-negative, we'll observe the specimen being packaged for shipment to the lab for confirmatory testing.

Urine vs Oral Fluid Drug Testing

Drug Testing
- Lab-based oral fluid testing detects the parent drug as well as its metabolite.
- The window of detection with oral fluid testing is typically a matter of hours and up to three days.
- A positive oral fluid test for marijuana means the person used the drug recently and may have been impaired at the time of testing.
Urine Drug Testing
- Urine tests detect a metabolite of a drug rather than the parent drug.
- For this reason, drugs are not detectable in urine for a period of several hours after usage.
- Urine drug tests are not an effective indicator of recent use or impairment identification.
