How it works

STEP 1: Select the tests that you need for your trip.
We’ve provided a simple check list to help you determine which tests you need and to add them to your cart and check out. Be sure to complete your purchase at least two weeks before your trip to ensure availability.
STEP 2: We will deliver your tests to you before your departure. Take them with you on your trip.
We will ship your tests and instructions for each test to your home address in the United States. RT-PCR test kits for Day 2, 5 and 8 are delivered to you with a pre-paid return shipping label addressed to our partner lab in the UK. Be sure to take these tests with you to the UK. Just drop your test kit in the Royal Mail when its time to take your test and you’ll receive your results within 24-48 hours from the time the lab receives each kit.
STEP 3: Complete the UK passenger locator form
Once you've received your test kits, complete the UK passenger locator form 48 hours before your trip. We'll send you a test reference number for each Day 2, or Day 2 & Day 8 that needs to be included on your passenger locator form.
STEP 4: Take your tests for prearrival, Day 2, Day 8, or optional Day 5 Test-to-Release and return the to the lab as needed
Your shipment comes with instructions for when to take each test and each test comes with its own instructions. Take each test at the correct time for pre-departure, Day 2, Day 8, optional Test-to-Release, and return testing as instructed. The pre-departure and return tests must be oberved with video observation.
STEP 5: Receive your results
You will receive a result for each test that you take. Your results come in both a PDF and COVID Credentials™ Health Pass format so you can share them with anyone you want.

Get tested 3 days before departure to the UK

You must take a COVID test 3 days or less prior to travel to the United Kingdom. AZOVA offers approved testing options for departure and for Day 2, Day 8, optional Day 5 Test-to-Release and for return to the United States.

  • Video observation services for departure and return testing are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is your responsibility to determine if there is video observation availability for when you need to be tested. We recommend you schedule your video observation services when you are planning your trip to ensure appointment availability for the specific time that you need to be tested.

Pre-departure Test

AZOVA offers the Lucira COVID-19 Home test kit with video observation and a travel pass for pre-departure testing. Take this test under video observation three days before the final leg of your flight to the UK. Testing is simple and takes only 15 minutes.

Day 2 & Day 8 Test

On arrival in the UK you must quarantine at home or where you are staying for 10 days. You must take an RT-PCR COVID-19 test on or before Day 2 and on Day 8 (the day you arrive is considered day 0). The quarantine period can be reduced by getting a negative result using the optional Test-to-Release scheme on Day 5 of your arrival. You must still take a Day 8 test even if you take a Day 5 Test-to-Release test. Take your tests and drop it in a Royal Mail Priority Postbox in the UK. Each kit comes with a prepaid return shipping label addressed to our partner lab in the UK.

Information For Fully Vaccinated Travelers

  • From 19 July 2021, fully vaccinated UK residents with an NHS approved vaccine arriving from amber list countries will be able to travel to England without having to quarantine or take a Day 8 test on arrival. The Day 2 test is still required.
  • For UK arrivals from 4am 2 August 2021, passengers who are fully vaccinated in the EU with vaccines authorised by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) or in the USA with vaccines authorised by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), or in the Swiss vaccination programme, will be able to travel to England without having to quarantine or take a Day 8 test on arrival. The Day 2 test is still required.
  • All other travelers or those who are not fully vaccinated arriving from amber countries will have to quarantine and take a Day 8 test on arrival. This quarantine period can be reduced by getting a negative result using the optional Test-to-Release scheme on Day 5 of your arrival. You must still take a Day 8 test even if you take a Day 5 Test-to-Release test.

Optional Day 5 Quarantine Test-to-Release

Exit quarantine early with a negative Day 5 Test-to-Release test. This test does not require video observation; you may complete it on your own. Take your test on Day 5 and drop it in the Royal Mail in the UK. Comes with a prepaid return shipping label address to our partner lab in the UK.

US Return Travel Test

To return to the United States, you can now purchase the Lucira COVID-19 home test kit and take the test in the UK. To meet CDC requirements, take this test under video observation with ID verification 3 days before departure to the United States. You’ll receive a validated result after you complete the test.

1. Testing Before Arrival

You must have proof of a negative coronavirus (COVID-19) test before traveling to England. You must take the test within the 3 days before your departure day. For example, if you travel directly to England on Friday, you must take the test on the Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. AZOVA provides all the testing you need to meet these requirements.
