Get COVID-19 Testing for Ireland Travel

• Have received at least 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine accepted for travel, a mix of 2 accepted vaccines

  • or at least 1 dose of the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson vaccine

• Have received your second dose at least 14 calendar days before you enter Canada

• Have no signs or symptoms of COVID-19

• Follow pre-entry testing and entry requirements

  • Upload proof of vaccination in ArriveCAN

  • Complete your ArriveCAN submission and have ArriveCAN receipt with letter I, V, or A beside your name

  • Complete arrival test if selected

• Travellers arriving to Canada from any country, who qualify as fully vaccinated, will be randomly selected for arrival testing. Travellers selected will also no longer be required to quarantine while awaiting their test result

Unvaccinated and partially vaccinated children 5 years of age or older must provide a valid pre-entry test result, even if they are accompanying a fully vaccinated adult.

Children who are less than 5 years old are not required to test, regardless of their vaccination status.

Travellers will now have the option of using a COVID-19 rapid antigen test result (taken the day prior to their scheduled flight or arrival at the land border or marine port of entry) or a molecular test result (taken no more than 72 hours before their scheduled flight or arrival at the land border or marine port of entry) to meet pre-entry requirements. Taking a rapid antigen test at home is not sufficient to meet the pre-entry requirement – it must be authorized by the country in which it was purchased and must be administered by a laboratory, healthcare entity or telehealth service, like AZOVA.

Unvaccinated travellers will continue to be required to test on arrival, on Day 8 and quarantine for 14 days. Unvaccinated foreign nationals will not be permitted to enter Canada unless they meet one of the few exemptions.
